Stormwater Retrofit Planning at APWA Spring Conference

The American Public Works Association (APWA) Washington Chapter held its Spring Conference in Tacoma, and NHC's Pat Flanagan teamed with project partners AHBL, the City of Kirkland, and Thurston County to present a comparison of stormwater retrofit planning in rural and urban watersheds. The presentation, based on recent projects in the Woodard Creek and Totem Lake watersheds, highlighted the retrofit planning process, applications to two watersheds at opposite ends of the urbanization spectrum, and lessons learned.
