We are pleased to welcome Casey Kramer to the NHC team. Casey will lead a new office for NHC in the Olympia, Washington area beginning May 1, and help meet NHC's increasing client need for high level water resource engineering expertise. Casey adds to NHC's strong technical capabilities in hydrologic, hydraulic, river, and stormwater engineering, and brings extensive local knowledge of streams and rivers throughout Washington State.
Casey was most recently the State Hydraulic Engineer for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), providing technical expertise to practitioners and communities across the state. He brings to NHC this experience addressing complex engineering issues as well as know-how of working and collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies. His service on technical committees and a variety of national panels will provide clients with intimate knowledge of state and federal design guidance, such as the AASHTO Drainage Manual that he helped develop, as well as regulations and policies. Casey also brings a wealth of practical experience and advanced technical knowledge gained working as a consultant prior to WSDOT and from his graduate studies where he conducted sediment transport and scour research at the University of Iowa Institute of Hydraulic Research (IIHR).
